Academic Entry Requirements:

IELTS – not less than a band of 6.0 or 6.5 (accepted by most institutions)

PTE – not less than a band of 55 – 60 (accepted by most institutions)

Test Validity – 2 years for both IELTS and PTE

Schooling – 12yrs of Schooling

Undergraduate – 3-year bachelor’s degree obtained from any recognized university or any equivalent qualification in the same or similar field

Post-Graduate – Any Masters Degree from any recognized university in the same field or similar field.

Vocational education and training:

No Entrances exams are conducted on a usual note to get in to VET Institutions. However, some Institutions may require a candidate to have certain pre-requisite subjects or demonstrate work experience in their profile which will help the candidate to get a better scope.

Further study:

If you as a candidate do not meet the entry requirement for your further studies, you may enroll yourself in Secondary School in Australia.

You can also enroll yourself in Foundation Studies which will prepare you for your further studies in Australia.

Foundation Studies are divided into various streams from which you can choose. Streamed offered are such as Business Studies, Science Studies etc. which has a variety of compulsory and elective subjects.

Student Visa Requirements:

Student Visas are granted to students/candidates once they have fulfilled a number of conditions for attendance and academic performance which comes into effect you have entered Australia.

Few requirements for the Grant of Student Visa are mentioned below:

Candidate must have a good character and sound health.

An acceptable health insurance through the Overseas Student Health Cover (OSHC) for yourself and any family member accompanying with you to Australia.

Have no outstanding debts towards Commonwealth of Australia, or have had made necessary arrangements acceptable to the Minister to repay such a pending debt.

Possess a valid Offer Letter of Admission or any Electronic Confirmation of Enrollment (eCoE) Certificate.

Able to cover all financial requirements such as air fares, tuition fees, and other miscellaneous expenses associated with your education and stay in Australia.

Pre-Visa Assessment:

A Pre-Visa Assessment (PVA) determines a student’s eligibility for a student visa and is necessary if your country is at Assessment Level 3 or 4. This involves obtaining an offer letter  from your chosen institution and submitting your visa application with all supporting documentation to your local DIMIA office for assessment.

If the assessment is favourable, you will be issued with a PVA approval letter to be given to your educational provider, authorising them to issue you with an eCoE. You will be also be advised to pay the tuition fees and OSHC premium, and undergo medical tests.

The student visa will be granted when the Electronic Confirmation of Enrolment (eCoE) once all other requirements are satisfied.

Working while you study in Australia:

International students in Australia on a student visa can apply for Work permit while pursuing their studies.

A student can work up to 20 hours a week on a casual basis during course time and full-time during vacation periods if they have been granted a visa with work rights.

In some cases, family members can apply for Work Permit up to 20 hours a week throughout the year.

Masters and Doctorate students,their family members can apply for Work Permit for  unlimited hours.

Skilled Migration Programme:

Applicant/Candidates are required to PASS/Clear a Point Test and satisfy some requirements.
These include:
• maximum age limit of 45.
• English language proficiency.
• tertiary qualifications.
• relevant work experience, etc.
